I need help figuring out why my w870cu sometimes crashes when I put it to sleep. I keep thinking I've fixed it with driver/bios updates and even an MS hotfix, but then it starts doing it again. It happens maybe 20% of the time, but I use sleep A LOT, so it's a real problem for me. I'm running Win7 x64 and my config is in my sig.

    Here's the WhoCrashed readout:

This was likely caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe

The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect, possibly the culprit is in another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.

does it crash when you have no applications open? even sys tray running apps? id start trying to eliminating there first. try updating your video drivers? anything scheduled to run in the background? what are you power settings in your BIOS set to. try adjusting there then try to sleep.

Thanks, I'll read through that in the morning.

That's a good idea too, I should have time to next week to give this a go.

Any devices plugged into your USB drives? Bought a budget travel mouse a while back and as it installed itself with drivers it would not allow my system to sleep or it would cause it to crash. Had to go into Device manager and un-check the box about allowing it to cause the machine to wake the computer. Solved no more issues on sleep.
