I have a recently purchased Thinkpad T61 running Windows Vista Business that has a trial version of Office 2007. I have tried to uninstall this version of Office 2007, but i get an Error 1310:Error writing to file c:\Config.msi\17bbb69.rbf verify that you have access to that directory.

I have checked my machine and cannot locate the Config.msi directory.

If I run Office 2007 until I use up my trial time will it uninstall by itself?

I use Office 2003 for work, so I want to install that.

    Thanks

    Gary

I also had that useless trial on my computer but if you just uninstall vista uninstall programs in the control panel you shouldn't have any problems. No it won't uninstall itself when the trial is up.

Thanks for the advice. I have not uninstalled it. Interestingly enough, I have stopped getting the messages on entering a product key or I have only X number of tries left. Maybe, they gave it to me for free (lol). Since, it saves access databases as office 2003 form, I'll stick with it for now.
