Hey all, lately I've been getting crashes in Windows XP (SP3) and recently discovered that Windows writes minidumps after these crashes. I've attached two of the recent dumps in hopes someone would be kind enough to let me know what's going on with the system.

I believe it's due to the HDD (Western Digital Scorpio Blue 120gb) because it's failed on me a few times in the past weeks. If this can confirm my suspicion, please let me know. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the heads up on ZA causing the problem. Did you happen to catch why this problem has been showing up recently? I haven't updated any drivers or done anything recently to change the computer. Would you recommend that I use some other firewall program instead?

All the mini-dump reveals is the driver causing the crash. Perhaps zonealarm updated itself.

As for another firewall...it depends on your current OS and your needs. I stopped recommending zonealarm long ago. For most users, Windows built in firewall along with a nat router is adequate.

If you want a free firewall, try comodo
