I can't read all the stuff in the bubble. Also, I need to click on the task in order to mouse over and have the bubbles appear. For example, if I wanted to see my battery life, I would need to click on the task bar then mouse over to the battery indicator, where the bubble would pop up cut off as seen above.

Is it a new problem? Have you rebooted?

It's always the first thing to try in Windows :)

Btw, I've found this interesting link: http://dan.hersam.com/2006/09/18/tooltips-hidden-behind-taskbar-in-xp/

According to the website, there are two possibilities:

    -temporary solution:
Go to Start/All Programs: Hover over any program listed, right click and select Sort by Name. Repeat once more.

I sorted by name once and checked the tooltips and they still weren’t visible, so I did it again and it worked. It remains a mystery why this has any affect on the tooltips being visible, especially having to do it twice.

    -definitive solution:

That happens to me sometimes in both of my laptops when I haven't rebooted in awhile.
