18kfangui crashes vista (only works on first install prior to reboot, and had to disbale driver signing to get the fnaio driver to load)

notebookhardwarecontroller only has beta for 32bit vista

    speedfan is for desktops

rivatuner can't control the fan through my driver

Anyone got any a working 64bit fan control application? I don't mind paying for working software

My dell bios does not turn the fans on soon enough and my GPU idles at 74deg C and games (with the fan on high) at 64deg C (when I software overclock it in 3d clocks)

    any help appreciated, thanks

Yes, when I set the 3d overclock prior to starting COD4 620/690; the fans having been triggered on when gaming cool it to the 60s, i want to have the fans come on earlier

damn...same question i asked a couple days ago...any ideas? my cpu idles at around 60C, but before, it idled around 45C. i've already used compressed air to clear the vents and fans of dust and debris to no avail.

i want to be able to run my cpu fan at least at 60% load while the cpu is idling and throttle it up to 100% load during gaming. ntune, atitool, rivatuner, speedfan, and nhc do not work.

When I had it loaded (before 64bit) fangui worked for me on vista32. But development seems to have stopped. I dont want to have to go to 32bit again

Have you tried 19kfangui? I cant find the download link for it working anywhere?

I can install it when I disable driver signing; then the program works fine. But upon next reboot, try to run the program and it simply crashes vista, complete lockup

you might be able to use this program called astiv, which bypasses the driverchecking. I use it for RMclock and RivaTuner.

Do you know the exact driver filename that microsoft is rejecting?

can't find a current download for astiv, seems they have all been taken down when microsoft pulled the rug from them

Yeah you probably wont find astiv but it actually still works.

Whats the exact filename that vista is rejecting? It should be a .sys driver file

If you know which file it is then astiv can bypass it. By using the same method for rmclock just modifiying the program and paths

Sure but using it is not as easy as a mouse click.

Astiv is a godsend for x64 users. This will work for any incompatible driver issue with x64 aslong as you know the driver file

Firstly you need to find out the exact driver that vista64 isnt loading, vista will usually have a pop-up saying this driver cant be loaded. It should be a .sys file. You need to know where it is located before you can use astiv.exe because you need to make a small script like this. You will need to put astiv on the same directory as the program .

You have to replace the paths accordingly. Its just the first 3lines,quite easy. I can send it to you by email once youve figured it out
