This morning when I turned on my PC, I noticed these 2 weird icons appearing in front of my two drives (local, and backup disks). The 2 icons were not there before, can someone explain what they are? They look like the standard Microsoft User(s) icon, but why are they suddenly/randomly appearing?
Here's an image of what I'm talking about.

Your disks are shared. If you haven't enabled it yourself then disable sharing + scan for malware.

Normally this would denote two partitions on your primary drive, or two drives; one for your operating system, and one for data. If you've never set up your rig for this, then Megol might be on to something in that you might have a virus.
Here's a virus removal guide if you want to give it a run. -
Thank you, for both your replies. Megol is indeed correct, it means my disks are enabled for sharing. I enabled sharing on my disks two days ago, in order to share files wirelessly across the network - I just didn't notice those icons until today, and was kinda confused by them. Thank you for answering my question.

I was rather oblivious to the icons in the lower left corner, lol. Yes, that's the sharing icon. My mistake. I was laboring under a different context.
