Yeah, yeah, you looked at this post thinking "typical problem, he cant use PTT in games so he needs to run ventrilo as an administrator". Not the case.
So, heres my issue.
I have Vista Ultimate, 32bit. on it I use Ventrilo (ran as administrator) in conjunction with my games and my NZXT Avatar Gaming mouse. But, my issue is almost the exact opposite of when Ventrilo isnt running with admin rights.
I can use Ventrilo perfectly fine with both my keyboard (I use the insert key) and the mouse (my right side button set as the insert key) in games, browsing the internet, but as soon as I make ventrilo the active window on my desktop, i am unable to use the mouse macro button to push to talk. The keyboard insert button works just fine, no matter which window is active, its just the mouse macro button. This issue also occurs when im installing something and the installshield wizard is my active window, ventrillo doesnt pick up the button press on the mouse either time.
At first, I thought it may be an issue with the programming software for the mouse, but even as I type this post I can use that button to turn overtype on and off to type over what Im writing, and of course this is the active window while im typing.
Is there a setting in Vista I may be over looking? In Ventrilo?
Any type of feedback would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance
