After a reformat its gone, instead of the splash page log in screen, its just a windows popup to log in. This has never happened before, so I'm a complete newbie at this :p

So, how do I enable it? :p

    Thanks in advance!

    I have no clue

edit: Ok, its my Atheros client...

If it is like Intel's client, then it probably has an option where it connects to the internet will you are logging in. If that was enable, then it would be forcing XP to go to the login screen no matter what.

At least that is the way intel works

Hmmm, I'll uninstall the driver + client, then try to switch login, then reinstall.

    Thanks for the help SG!

edit: Uninstalled, I got the menu working but even if I clicked use Welcome screen instead of Fast switching, it still goes fast switching...

After some twinkering, still missing. I tried TweakIU, going into registry, making a passworded account, etc. all don't work...

did you try unchecking welcome screen and fast user switching -- leave them both unchecked?

Hmm, I wiped all the drivers and client for my Atheros card, then installed just the driver, and now it works. I guess the client conflicted with the logon screen(somehow...)

Oh well, I guess. The Atheros client is just a tad more easier and adjustable then the Windows one...

    Hope its just as stable!

    Thanks

Did you find the option in the Atheros client? Is this a new version?

I would actually prefer that my lappy connect to the internet before it gets into Windows!

Nope, I can't find it. I don't know the version, it was included with my MiniPCI.

I use the Windows one now, so far its ok...
