    Hi guys and gals

Just a quick question that is ghoing to be blindingly obvious I guess.

Basically, I want to hide xmp files in windows explorer as they take up thumbnail space in my pictures folders, especially when I've loads of pictures edited in CS4.

I'm able to hide single files, but I want to hide the whole lot (would this be possible and CS4 still able to see them). Is there an option where I can choose to hide "all" xmp files.

I know I could group all the xmp files together in explorer, then click hide, but then when I edit new images, it would create new ones.

    Cheers for any help.

    You could edit themAdobe Bridge.

I just found out that you can open RAW files from Adobe Bridge - adjust stuff, then close.

Later on, select all pictures and batch convert them to JPEGs.

    That could be an option.

I forgot about this thread, cheers for the reply.

If I was to edit them, would this not still create an XMP file?????

Do you mean editingvia Bridge and thus Caera RAW?
Yes, it woud, but Bridge doesn't show them.

By the way: I have encountered problems with an automatic start of Bridge - you may want to launch thesoftware manually.

Yes, I mean editing via bridge.

I'll maybe do that, but it still looks messy lol when in windows explorer when looking through the thumbnails, but then if I use bridge. I won't need to use windows explorer to view the pictures.

    Exactly :)

By the way - it would be good if you have a good graphics card, that should speed some things up.
(Like the mode to view photos)

Also, its a good idea to learn the odd key combination like Strg+g for grouping images together.

Bridge can makeyou work much faster.
