My personal documents are stored on a separate partition on my internal HDD so if I need to reinstall the OS I don't need to move all my stuff. Is there a way to make this partition hidden from other user accounts?

Can't seem to find too much in this hmm ... Is anyone familiar with this? I see a lot of guides on hiding a drive from everyone but I want to be able to access it only.

I know of no group policy settings to hide a whole partition. The closest thing I can think of is hiding the drive letter in Explorer, but that is system wide. Your best bet is to encrypt it using Bitlocker or NTFS encryption.

If I hide drive letters I'd just use Disc Management, but that would make me not able to view it.

Also, I am running Windows 7 Professional, and BitLocker isn't a feature.

Truecrypt is a good alternative to BitLocker.

Check the file permissions. You should be able to set it so only your user has read/write access to the partition, and all other users are unable to get in there. I don't have my Windows 7 machine accessible here, otherwise I'd tell you exactly what you have to do.
