    Hm, after updating to Vista SP1, sometimes when I plug in my mouse, Vista crashes?

    Or it freezes at least. So I have to hold the power button to stop the crash.

    Any solutions? It's a Logitech wireless mouse if that's any help.


    The thing is, it happens only some of the time which makes it hard to recreate the freezing.

    Dunno. I'm not finding the exact reason though. I installed SetPoint right now.


    And guess what I STILL can't edit any functions on my Dell laptop :(

    What gives?

    How did you upgrade to SP1, using the stand-alone installer or Windows Update? I imagine it's a driver issue. I suggest installing the latest chipset driver from Dell, and if that doesn't work, try the latest from Intel for your particular chipset.

    Try uninstalling the Logitech driver (and Setpoint) and using the built-in Microsoft driver.
    My Logitech wireless mouse works fine that way.
