    How Can I Create a Bootable Windows vista Setup/Repair Disk on a Preinstalled Windows System?

    My laptop came with vista Preinstalled , How can I create A Setup/Repair Disk , basiclly like the Retail version of vista?

    Simply...not possible (at least from what I know.) If your manuf. put in recovery discs you can use those. Otherwise, you can order the discs from your manuf. Unless you bought through a botique reseller and got an ODM (like MSI, ASUS, SAGER, etc.) you might be out of luck.

    Clearly pre-installed OS's were meant to die with the original computer.

    Its a HP Pavilion Dv6500 , And there is this " Hp recovery Partition" , Can't I use it to make the recovery disks?

    Yes, you can. In your Start menu you should see something like Recovery Disc Creator. I don't remember the folder name. Use DVDs because HPs are notorious for using tons of discs. It will probably be 3 or 4 DVDs that you'll need.

    You can only create 1 set unless a disc fails, so don't lose them.

    I said it was impossible because the discs are "factory restore", which means all bloatware included. I thought you were looking for a way to create just the OS disc from the computer. At least this way, however, you get all the drivers for your stuff.

    Oh , wait , So if I Formatted , Installed another OS , And then used those Disks To reinstall Vista , It would just install vista right? It wouldnt erase the other OS I installed?

    It will restore the original operating system on the original partition. Windows will always overwrite any existing operating system. Remember, this isn't an installation disk, it's a restore disk.
