    RiverTuner doesnt overclock your CPU. It is for overclocking the graphics card core and vram. It is pretty save if you only do a slight increase. If you see artifacts or your GPU gets too hot turn it down again.

    Overclocking is never risk free but pretty save if you are carefull.

    Many NBR users, including myself (see sig) are using RivaTuner with no problems.
    As Wave said, be conservative in your overclocking.
    Always rigorously test multiple times after making an adjustment to make sure everything is working properly.
