How are you supposed to install an OS created using Mr. Fox's video

    Hi all.

So I made a stripped version of Win 10 using the instructions from the video Mr. Fox made. Everything went well (mostly, removing the metro apps caused a invalid handle error for each one). Where I'm running into problems is the iso that was created is NTFS and it doesn't seem like my bios wants to acknowledge the usb drive exists.
I used Rufus to burn the iso, like I always have done, and never had a problem. I've read that Rufus has a UEFI/NTFS mode, but how does that work? Create the bootable disk using Rufus and just copy the necessary file onto it?
My bios currently has secure boot disabled, and if I switch the bios to legacy, I can read the USB. However if I'm going to have to disable UEFI to get anything installed, I might as well track down a copy of Win 7 and install that and to hell with this run around.

Cheers, and thanks to Mr. Fox for posting the video in the first place

If you create the ISO using the MSMG tool, it might be larger than 4GB so you would have to change from FAT32 to NTFS but make sure you select MBR Partition scheme for UEFI for the partition scheme

I got it booted just using Rufus' UEFI-NTFS and manually copying the files from the ISO.

On another topic… holy crap, MS did a hatch job on us when it comes to uninstalling/disabling stuff - how on earth do you diasble Defender now? None of the apps want to let me uninstall. Hurry up updating your Clean Install Guide :)

and what happened to the old control panel

The control panel is now buried in Start Menu > All Programs > Windows System

What an epic cluster-f this is turning out to be. Nothing is playing nice. Had things running the way I wanted it, got most of the preinstalled crap gone, drivers updated, etc. Shut my laptop off to take a break. When I can back to continue rebuilding, I got nothing but a no bootable device screen. Tried damn near everything to fix it, and no joy. Not even the bloody Macrium backup I made would restore it back to functionality. Gotta start all over from scratch except my Install USB even managed to get screwed somehow
