This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Yes,you need to get a portable version of Firefox which you can use on any computer without installing.You also have a portable versions of Mozilla Thunderbird,Opera,Media Player,Open Office(for Linux) etc.

    Or check out www.u3.com. Several programs available, including Firefox, that run from a USB stick.

    I've been using it for a couple of weeks between my desktop and NB and it works nicely.

    Great to load games on sticks and play them at schools, where it is impossible to install them from CD.
