    Hi, I installed the windows 8 dev kit and it would be less of a hassle for me if i could just go back to windows 7 and have it out of the box. Is this even possible?

    You can't go back to Windows 7, only re-install.

    If you have made a full backup before installing Windows 8, you could try restoring it.
