I used to be able to do this in Windows XP fairly easily, but I'm having a hard time doing this in Windows 7.

How can I make my folders view consistent. For example, I prefer to have all my icons show as a List in every folder. However, it seems like every time I access a folder - it resets the way icons are supposed to be. Also, I have to manually do this for every new folder I access or create.

Hope I'm not rambling. Appreciate the guidance. Thanks.

hmm... I'm not sure I understand this right.

On my Vista system, if I open a given folder and change the view (for example, from 'thumbnails' view to 'details' view) and close it, THEN reopen it, it stays with the view I selected.

Are you saying that in Windows 7, it goes back to what the OS believes it should be?

    That's crazy to me!
