Hey guys,
It seems Google has introduced a new feature, Google Instant. I tried it out just now and wasn't too fond of the concept. However, what irritates me even more is that they took away the Query Suggestions option in the Preferences page. I had that disabled since I wanted to use my web browser's history to suggest my searches (based on previous searches). I'm currently using FF 3.6.9.
Can anyone please tell me how I can revert to using my FF search history on Google? I really need this feature, and really don't want to use the new Google Instant, or normal search query suggestions; but still of course, want to use Google.
Right now, it seems that Google is not giving people any options anymore regarding the search suggestions.
Thanks...

You can turn Instant off. It's to the right of the search button.

Haha...I just saw this thread after I posted my thread. I think it's awesome.

I actually already have. So Instant is disabled, but by default, Auto Complete/Site Suggestions are still turned on. Before there was an option to disable Site Suggestions, which I can't seem to find on Settings now. I have a temporary solution though, of using the Firefox Google for my searches which still retains my browser search history and does not use Auto Complete/Site Suggestions. However, it's not an effective solution as it ends up showing results on normal Google, so Auto Complete comes back.

Do you work for Google?

No. But I respect how they've evolved the net and kept other stagnant companies on their toes. If it weren't for Mozilla and Google you'd still be using a browser akin to I.E. 6 .

Use Greenseng, the Green search engine. It's Google without the fluff

This URL is working for me on both IE8 and Firefox 3.6.10;

No more Instant (blech) and no more suggestions. Good luck!
