Let's say I have a Dell laptop, and I want to know what brand the display is (for example AOU, LG, etc.) How do I go about this? Ty

Try and go to nvidia (presuming you have nvidia) control panel and then "Set up multiple displays". It should list which brand it is
-
Nah, Nvidia doesn't show it
Use this

I wasn't aware of pcwizard. In my Dell E6500 I went to hardware manager and under the display it had listed a model number, with "LG" in the model number signifying LG as the manufacturer.

Everest also works as well but PC Wizard is free.

Just go to Device Manager, Monitors and select your display. Then under the Details tab, select "Hardware IDs" from the drop-down box. No need for third party software.
-
But you have to google the make...

(Generic PnP Monitor) -
Another option for finding those kinds of details in windows is the "System Information for Windows" tool (it's free). Here's the link: http://www.gtopala.com/
Download the standalone English version to avoid having to install it, run it, go to "Video" and "Monitor."
This tool also has a wealth of other information. It essentially does the same thing as the other programs mentioned here, but I believe that the other ones aren't portable.
How do I find out what display I have in Windows 7?
