I got curious and clicked on windows narrator on the logon screen - now it loads every time I start windows.

How do I turn it off? I can't see it in msconfig of ccleaner's list of detected startup programs?

First: I don't know what feature you are talking about because I haven't seen it, but my ideas are:

    a) Sheduled Tasks
    b) Services
    c) Control Panel
    d) Programme's own options

Maybe one of these can help...

It's a service you wont find it in either list as it isn't a stand alone application. I would recommend leaving it activated because there are also some text recognition modules in windows that depend on it being responsive to calls.

    To deactivate the system narrator.
    1. Start> Control panel> Ease of Access Centre> (you can search for this too)
    2. Clear the "read this section out loud" check box
    3. Click the " Change Administrative Settings (Left hand panel)
    4. Confirm UAC request
    5. Make sure the box is cleared
    6. Click Save

clearing the box is fine, but leave the service itself alone - :D

ahk, cheers. don't mind it being there, I'm just incredibly anally retentive about startup programs that I have to quit every time I turn the computer on lol
