My having a toshiba laptop an old series satelite M 200.The laptop spec is Core duo 2.0Ghz and 1GB ram , GMA 950 with pre installed Vista basic.
I am confuse on which partition to remove. It had 3 Primary partition , and 1 extended
1.Eisa partition (primary)
2.C drive window vista preinstall (primary)
3.Recovery partition (extended)
4.4GB free space (primary)
I remember last time there are problems on install a new OS , it need to stream slip a program to detect sata drive.Do I need to do this to install on the laptop ?
How do I manage the partition ? I am able to help my friend to backup the vista recovery partition ? or possible just to install directly on C drive ?
Thank you

you don't need to slipstream sata drivers because windows 7 includes them
if you have recovery discs, then you can just delete the recovery partition and install over C -
I dont think he had the recovery disc and what is Eisa ? can it be delete?
