Back when I had XP I had all my game icons positioned to the far right of the screen to keep them separate from the others.. Now that I have Vista I keep them positioned at the bottom of the screen because of windows sidebar.. In XP I never had this problem, but with Vista whenever I restart the computer the icons are moved back to the left of the screen with the others, its getting annoying that every time i restart I have to reposition them the way I want them. Is their a way to fix this?

right-click on desktop... click on view. if auto arrange has a checkmark click on it.screen will go away but you can go back and see.you can also uncheck align to grid if you want to just drop icons anywhere you want.i keep align to grid checked to make it uniform.you can experiment.
