When I go to Control Panel < Uninstall a program, I see the list of programs I have on my notebook, but I can't see how large they are on the right hand side anymore for some reason. Is there a way to make these numbers appear again?

Are you in Details view mode? What if you right click on a column, is "Size" checked off? What OS?

Many times you wont see its real size. WinDirStat is a software that does it.
