    How do i apply a font to my laptop?

    I believe I got a virus in which all my fonts got deleted. Now all my characters are only symbols. I uploaded arial from my computer to my laptop but I need to know how to apply it. I'm running windows xp. Help?

    the fonts folder is located in C:\Windows
    just drag and drop the fonts into that folder
