I've been using Xmarks for more than 4 years now to backup my bookmarks. Recently it has been very buggy, like when I load a new FF profile and sync them back, the favicons are all gone. And worst of all, sometimes some bookmarks go missing.

Is there a better way of backing up bookmarks?

You can always just copy the profile you are using. It will backup every Firefox setting (not just bookmarks, but also the history and plugins) and it's even compatible across operating systems. That is, you can copy the profile from any Windows version or even from Windows to Linux and vice versa and Firefox will work.

Just found a tool that backs up all browsers, skype, uTorrent:

Hekasoft Backup & Restore | Hekasoft

Becareful though when downloading, select the 2nd link without the bundled bloatware.
