I just got a new notebook and transferred a lot of old programs onto it. Many of them I haven't had time to run yet and are highlighted in a very distracting yellow hue on the start menu. Is there a way to "mark them as read" and make them the same as all of the other programs?

Go into your start menu options and uncheck "Highlight newly installed programs".
