During my install it is hanging at

"Setup will be completed in approximately"

    15 minutes.

Is this unusual? Is it 100% it will not finish?

Yes I would say so. A typical XP install on a system 2-4 years old takes about 25-30 min max. You may have either a cd drive causing errors, a bad disc. What system are you installing it on? If it's a newer system did you change your SATA settings to Compatibility mode?

Are you sure its hanging? Sometimes it just stops for a while but it continues...

    Atleast that's what i've experienced.

Does it only hang at 15 minutes and thats it it freezes, or does it continue eventually? Do you know what service pack level the CD is at? (RTM, SP1, SP2, SP3?) Have you used this disc before? Is it scratched?
