Well back in decemeber, i order windows 7 professional for 30 dollars through student upgrade and it came with a 64bit and 32 bit. I have 64 bit installed on my laptop and was wondering if i can install the 32bit on my netbook with out any conflicts.

    Thanks..

No, unless you have more than 1 license key, you can only install one version at the same time.

Technically no, Microsoft's stance has always been the same, one license per computer. You cannot legally activate a single windows license on multiple computers.

You would have no problem activating the same license on a secondary computer, however, remember this is a violation of Microsoft's EULA and Microsoft's Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA or whatever it's called) can track how many computers your key is installed on.

If you had a Volume License Key (VLK) you could, but typically only companies or schools get that.

O, thanks for clearing that up. So if i wanted to use it on my netbook, i would have to uninstall it on my laptop..

    Yup.

Think of it like a book. Two people can't read a book at the same time. But you can give/sell a book to someone when you are done with it.

Did Family Pack have 1 or 3 license codes in the box, since it was meant for 3 computers?

If it had only one code, then it would have been the exception in the rule :)

My understanding is that once that license key code is used (whether on the 32bit or 64bit version) it cannot be used again on a different system. Even if you uninstall it from the original notebook/computer it will not activate, nor will calling MS result in a new key being issued (for free).

In some cases, I've seen the original computer not accepting the key as well after multiple attempts at installing on a second computer, so be careful.

I'm pretty sure the family pack had three licenses.

Two computers, one license, and that means you need to purchase another license. It might work for a time, but if you find that all of a sudden one (or both) computers decides to mark itself as an illegal copy you had it coming.
