I had a cousin call me today asking me to keep an eye out for someone selling a macbook in my area. She had left her's in her car under a bunch of laundry. Obviously, she's freaking out because she just bought her mac and that's a nice chunk of change to lose.
Now, this has got me to thinking about PC tracing software. I came really close to purchasing it when I got my DV5Z last year, but decided against it for the cost. After hearing her sob story about the loss, I started looking into it again. Me being the simpleton that I am, I figured that the cost had to do with having an actual device on the notebook. Now I know that's not the case and the cost has lowered significantly.
The point of this thread is to just find out if any of you have any personal experience or other thoughts with using lojack.
( I did search, and didn't find too much on the topic)

Interesting.. and I'm sorry to hear about your cousins theft, that's a shame. If something like that happened, I'd just turn it into my home-owners insurance, but I can see for those who don't have renters/HO insurance how it could end up being a pretty substantial loss.
Hope she gets it back!
How many of you are using lojack?
