Nah, I'm a visual person. Seeing images with less clutter works much better for me.

    I welcome the superbar!

I think I have the same opinion as you did.
I don't use any quicklaunch button or superbar button at all.
The Superbar Huge size impressed me, I like the design. However, some people said that the Superbar Huge size making the Windows/Desktop display become smaller.

Seconded! I hardly used the QuickLaunch bar before and I’m glad to see replaced by the new super taskbar!

For the items that are not on my taskbar, I use shortcut keys!

With the "Pin to Start Menu" and "Pin to Taskbar" (superbar) options I don't miss the Quickstart bar at all.

i use the 'super bar' as my quick launch... i only have 4 tops programs on there.

i dont get why people dont put stuff on the desktop? thats what its there for in the first place...

and i beleive in using the taskbar for only open apps rather than having everything on there all the time...

although it would be good if the next windows came with an optional dock seperate to the taskbar... basically the same as a taskbar (say at the top) that launches the apps only and then when they are open they go to the taskbar(i guess like other 3rd party docks) but included in the OS...

    now that i would use...

(sorry about going of topic guys... lol)

    cheers

I dont use the quicklaunch since superbar is almost the same.. I have a dock on the top, filled with program shortcuts, shortcuts on desktop to different folders on the computer, start menu filled up with shortcuts too and ofcourse the most-used programs pinned to superbar, which i use in small icon size..

I mean, the space is there to be used! whoever cares about keeping anything "clean" are weird :p

I only use the QuickLaunch bar to clean up my desktop. I put the Computer shortcut, as well as Control Panel and Trash on it. I do not like that it does not "hug" the notification area and so if there are a multitude of notifications up some of it disappears, but I still like having a clutter free desktop and everything functional.

also is there away to use icons only without combining? this would also be another way to use it and i would greatly appreciate... can always hope that someone finds a hack or something to do this...

Right click on the task bar (in an empty spot). Select properties.
On the taskbar tab is a dropdown labeled: Task bar buttons.
    Three options there:
    1. Always combine, hide labels.
    2. Combine when task bar is full
    3. Never combine.

    Superbar = quicklaunch + taskbar.

I was a huge fan of the quicklaunch bar. I use it in XP at work and I used it in Vista. The superbar has all the features I wanted of the quicklaunch bar and more. There is room for more icons and it works with jumplists. I would have switched to W7 just for Aero Snap, but the superbar is nice too.

The Superbar works better than quick launch in my opinion since there's not a separate bar taking up space and not relaly doing anything. I don't really understand why everyone still uses the Docks too as the bar works pretty much the same way as well.

    The super bar does not:
Show as many applications as I have on my Pic there,
    Show small icons

It needs room when applications are opened
It has both stacking icons and non stacking option

    The dock allows subcategories

I like my organization but this is each his own.

    so these are my reasons

My only complaint is not being able to use png instead of ico

Seriously, macs have able to use png for icons for very long time....

You'd end up using more space having those shortcuts there and running most of them than just using the pinning feature on the taskbar; but I do agree there needs to be some type of separator for the taskbar besides invisible walls <.<

    To each their own xD

Acctually I was using the Quicklaunch in the same way I do now in W7, all icons in QL I would leave unhidden, very similar to this "Superbar". Have WMP, Explorer and Maxthon(my browser). Also I have Statbar, where I put other shortcuts, instead having them on desktop. Like to keep it clean.
