downloaded latest vlc on my m17x and there is NO option anywhere to disable subtitles. I googled for the last hour. Is the movie I downloaded burned with subtitles maybe?

In VLC i go to Video snd the second option is subtitles track... it then goes to >open file. there is NO disable.

The last version of vlc that I used I was able to disable it easily in the options for every movie I watched.

Am I crazy?? Even in preferences I dont see ANY of the options like osd or something that everyone talks about when I google for results.

Can someone d/l the latest version and see for yourself? am I nuts or is this movie just burnt like this and im wasting my time.

Sounds like it's integrated into the video if there's no Disable in Video > Subtitles

    IIRC..
If you're using a burned dvd with subtitles that are hardcoded; meaning they are actually superimposed on the frames in the video, you don't have the option to disable/enable..
