Can you explain this better? Do you mean re-installing?

Where did you get your computer, and can you contact the seller for a disk?

LOL! You know why you don't have the installation disc?
Because your laptop come with the build-in OEM installation, which mean the Windows Installation stuffs are actually stored in your hardisk instead of a CD.
You can burn the partition out from the hardisk to a DVD or some DVDs to serve as back-up.

After that, get another WINDOWS(XP, Seven) installation CD and format your computer with it. Then, vista will disappear and new windows you choose will appear.
Or open your command prompt as administrator, type in format c: and then press enter
you can change the "c:" with any other alphabets(check your hardisk partition).

    Yes..
Like re-installing windows vista on my computer..
I bought it on Fnac (store in Italy)
Because, when i bought my laptop, vista is installed already so they don't put the installation disc..

simply put the vista oem cd in the drive and restart the computer.
    follow the setup instructions.
you will have a "format" option during vista install.

You will need some sort of restoration media, whether it be a recovery partition, or an installation disk for Vista.

Go look through the documentation and packaging that came with the computer. Try to find any information on recovery. Most computers will come with at least some way to "start from scratch".

So , one thing you need to know , you cant format Operating System Partition if you loging in Windows .
I think your laptop have partition recovery included on your hard disk already .
What is model of your laptop ? Such as : Sony , Toshiba , Dell , HP , Asus or etc...
Just oneway you can chose if you want re-format your C drive is re-install your Windows by using Recovery . Turn off your computer , and then turn it back , and then try these way to recovery :

Press F10 for recvery if your laptop is SONY VAIO .
Press 0 for recovery if your laptop is Toshiba .
Press F11 for recovery if your laptop is HP .
Press F8 for recovery if your Laptop is Dell .

Hope that help ! Good luck !!!

Are we talking about the Sony CR mentioned in your signature line? If so, two things.

First, when you got your machine there were instructions from Sony that told you to create a set of Recovery DVD's. These serve as a means to recover the machine back to its original "out of the box" state. I assume you did not do this. You still can, and should. It uses the hidden recovery partition as the source for the info it puts on these DVDs. They can be used not only to restore the machine back to its original state, but can also be used to recover individual drivers and applications that came with the machine.

Second, because there is a hidden system recovery partition, there is a procedure (again outlined in the documentation that accompanies EVERY Sony machine) that will allow you to boot from this partition and restore the machine back to its original state. NOTE: YOU WILL LOOSE ALL DATA AND USER INSTALLED APPLICATIONS! All you have to do is power off, power back on and hit the F10 key. The BIOS will boot from the hidden partition and give you a menu of options.

Recovery from the DVD's created in step one, or using the F10 trick do exactly the same thing.

You MIGHT loose the windows seven partition, depending on what options you have in the F10 menu and which one you take. I don't know the specifics of YOUR model. Some offer the ability to restore a C: partition, some offer the ability to restore the entire drive, some offer both etc.
