This guy tells a story of how to get a refund from HP if you do not agree with the EULA terms & conditions. Most of you would just check "I agree" and keep going. But if you do not agree with the terms & conditions, EULA says you can be refunded for the software.

Don't forget that you need your own copy of an OS after that...you cannot legally use what was installed on the laptop. Unless you want to be charged with theft/fraud.

Yea, there was a topic similar to this posted earlier. And with all the headaches you might have to go though....idk if it would be even worth it. this guy was late for work how many times, because he had to reach the case manager after 8am and before 5pm?

Also, make sure you read that EULA very carefully because it may say nothing more than something like "check with your vendor to see if you can get a refund" or "check with your vendor to see what their refund policies are" or the like, which is not mandatory language, and does not impose an obligation on the vendor to actually give you a refund.

Oh crapper, double post. -
With the dv5z out now, I may just consider it instead of a macbook that I've been waiting on. Plus, since I already have vista ultimate (because of the WFP), I wonder if I could do this.
Ugh, I hate indecision. -
