If any of you out there are following this thread and have NOT installed SP1, could you post the contents of these two areas in the Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Advanced\
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\Advanced\

No changes in those, Gary. The snapshots don't show anything worth mentioning. The second one doesn't actually exist on my computer.
Perhaps a file was changed? -

Sorry, should have been clearer. The snapshot is from before SP1, but way before SP1. I wish I had done an immediate before/after comparison. I just didn't even think about it. As a matter of fact, I rediscovered that I had the program (SysTracer) only after I did the upgrade.

Thanks for your help, nonetheless!

I think its a Mystery that ONLY Microsoft can Answer.
My Windows Vista OS was re-installed (Clean) last December.
Then I constantly, update my computer. Then Upgraded to SP1.
Afterwards, I applied the registry hack.
Almost All users that tried WinBubble says It works fine.
BUT after a week, The mystery comes. Several users says it doesn't work anymore.
One EMAIL that I received after a day of releasing WinBubble 1.71 saying that my software is great and he gave me a tip of a small bug in my software (But it was not directly said).
How did he know? Is he a Microsoft employee? -
I have installed SP1 and my searchbar is still there. Does that mean SP1 maybe didn't install properly. It says SP1 when I go into my system details in the control panel
