What properties do you want to control?

Ok, i didnt relaize this would be a problem, so i dont know if anyone will kno how to help me this time...
Apparently i need to set permissions to a actual number, like 777.
Plus, to make it more complicated, i need to do it through WinSCP.
So, i think im on my own here, but if anyone knows how to do it, please tell me. Thank you very much. -
Windows doesn't use octal (Unix) permissions. Are you working via FTP on files and folders sitting on a Windows Server box?
-
Just a little FYI - you can't set permissions on a Windows box with an FTP client. You can only set permissions on a Unix server with the CHMOD command.

Ok, that must be my problem then. Thank you, +rep for kegobeer, swarmer
i got what i needed to do done a different way anyway... Thanks though anyway. -
You still haven't said WHERE the files are that you want to change the permissions on. If they're on a windows install, then no, you can't do it remotely or through an FTP program. If you're connecting to a Unix/*nix account through an FTP program, then yes you can set permissions (by right clicking), but the FTP program has to be a good one/one that supports this (like FlashFXP).
