I'd like to add a shortcut link to my videos folder to the right side pane of the start menu, where the other things like Documents, Music, Pictures and Games are, but I can't figure out how to get it in there. Infact, I'd probably like to jsut remove the Games link (which I figured out how to do), but can't seem to get Videos on there.

Can anyone please tell me how to do this? I'm very new to Vista, and haven't been able to figure out how to do it.

thisisricardo if you right click on the start bar go properties, start menu tab, customize go down till you see games and check the bubble that says do not display this item, i dont see a video tab so i would also like to know how to add the video.

There is a program that will kind of do what you want

    http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=85776

It can only add one item, and it adds to the bottom of the start panel (right side)

Microsoft originally included the ability for OEMs to insert a link to their website into the start panel, but never really expanded this concept. What the above program does is add it into the OEM place holder.

You are on the right track with this :) however all you need to do after is to enable the personal folder link in the customize menu (change it to "display as menu"). What this will do is make your user name at the top a "slide out" menu. Essentially this is linking back to the default user folder where one would have videos, pictures and music etc saved.

However if your videos folder is say on a second partition and not on the (C)partition this will not help you.
