I hate opening a folder and having to change the view of the content's view everytime i open a folder i have never opened before...

Is there a way to change that icon view for every folder i open with Vista?

With Vista it is bit tricky (not as easy as with XP where you just have to set it once), at first I thought Apply to all folders button in Folder options > View didn’t work. But finally I managed to set all my folders to look same.

I think in Vista there are several different folder types, e.g. : Video, music, photos, normal files etc.. and I think you have to set the view for each folder type separately or something. First uncheck Remember each folder’s view settings option under Folder Options > View> Advanced settings. Then select a folder ,set the view you want and click Apply to all folders; afterwards check few other folders and see if everything is OK, if you come across a folder that doesn’t, then repeat the process (set the view and apply to all folders). With a bit work you should be able to get all the folder types look the same. Good luck.

Maybe there is an easier way.....
