I am using Vista. However I want to change the default download folder. I have tried following method:

"Start Regedit by going to Start > Run type in Regedit in the little box that opens up, then hit the Enter key and then navigate to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Internet Explorer

Change the value of the string Download Directory to the new path you want to assign as IE's Default Download directory"

However, I couldn't find the string "Download Directory" on my computer. Is there anything wrong with my computer?

IE doesn't have a default download folder as far as I know, it just asks each time. If you want to have a default download folder, use a 3rd party browser, such as Firefox or Safari.

I just selected the download folder the first time I downloaded something off it (Opera actually :D), and it's been the same since.

    It's right here:

Of course, that's in XP and I just noticed you're in Vista. Might be the same.
