    How to change selection colour in Vista?

    Some of the colour schemes adopted in Vista are outright dumb. An example of which would be the colour when a an option is selected when the cursor hovers above it. For instance, when you right click on the desktop area to choose properties the colour with which "Personalize" gets highlighted is extremely faint to the point of non-existent. Is there a way to change this colour?

    Can't you change the "intensity" for that?

    Maybe check your screen settings. Its perfect on mine.

    Change the colour scheme. I used a reddish one, and decreased transparency.

    Changing intensity doesn't seem to be helping that much.
    Observe the faint blue colour of the selected 'Properties' option in the attached image. The colouring really sucks. Anyway to change this to dark blue like in previous Windows?

    The BSOD has a bad blue too, they should change it, perhaps a very intense red and acompanied with an alarm sound :D
