    Hi?

    How do you change the names of the users in the users folder in vista? It seems as if the renaming of the folder is locked.

    you can't manually as far as i know. the only way to do that is create a new account with the name you want for your user.

    Yeah, I wouldn't recommend it even if you manage to do it... programs need to be able to find the user directories. However... I don't see any harm in creating either a shortcut or a symlink from wherever you want, with whatever name you want.
