Hi, guys. Lately, i fot some problems with my laptop. Even though my laptop use a 945pm chip set, cpu-z report it's 472 something, all EXE files is virus to all AV softwares. I decided to reinstall the OS but it didn't solve the problems. So i think i should just completely erased everything (not formating, i think they call it fdisk or sth like that). Does anyone knows how to do this?

You probably have a virus that replicates itself onto EVERY EXE file. You might want to read up in the security forum about some free online scanners that might be able to help you.

You'd be able to, during a reinstallation, 'destroy' the partition and do a full NTFS reformat. That would probably take care of everything.

I think Greg's idea is best, but if you really want a clean disk, Dban is my favorite and really works. If you use this (or any of the programs that completely wipe your drive), read all instructions and advice carefully before using.

Holy cow, that's crazy, so it means all my saved program will be lost (Luckily my PS CS3 is in an ISO format and Adobe AU is in a zip files).
Thanks very much for the fast reply, reading Dban FAQ at the moment.
