    How to convert .asf file to .mwa or mp3 ?

    My webcam uses .asf files , how can I convert such a file to mp3 or mwa ?

    Use any video converting program, like VLC.

    I must miss something here, can VLC really convert media formats?

    Learned something new. REP. Still I do not see using VLC to extract digital audio (MP3) from ASF files as OP mentioned.

    Yeah VLC is probably your best choice. It's free and very simple. Just type into Google 'VLC Download' and it should be the first suggestion.

    That means only the images will be converted not the sound ?

    From what I read, VLC can convert video formats, but not extracting audio from a video. So media files are fine from one format to another.
