Hi, I've been trying to delete "Sleep Away", "Maid with the Flaxen Hair", & "Kalimba" mp3 files off WM12 library list on Windows 7, but no luck. The files are basically deleted from the C:\Users\Public folder, but it's just still stuck on the playlist.

Solution is to delete the library list in this folder:

    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\

you should not delete them there.

    delete them in c:\users\public\music.

I did delete them from public music folder, but it's still showing on the library list. So, I assume the ones showing in the library list are from that folder i mention above.

Delete them from WMP. When it comes up with delete from my computer and library, select that. That should get rid of it.

Another way is to go to Libraries, then delete the Sample Music folder, as well as the copies in Public.

If they're still in the library all you need to do is delete them from the list. You already deleted the folder so it will work to get rid of them in the list as well. So did it work out for you?

Nvm, I found the solution, is to delete the playlist in this folder:

    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\
