I have an Acer 5100 laptop I tried inserting a USB drive and it added a com port, I took it out and inserted it into another usb slot and it added another com port, how do I go about deleting all those com ports that have been added and I do not have a printer installed in my pc. I went into device manager and I do not see any ports listed there that I can delete.
    Any suggestions.

    thanks

You can still go to the controll panel and then to printers (even though you didn't install one the catagory will still exist). This is assuming your viewing the control panel in classic view of course. Than right click anywhere inside the window and go to run as admin properties. Somewhere in there will be the list of ports you can then delete.
