    How to disable schedule Chkdsk,accidentally clicked yes?

    I accidentally clicked on schedule chkdsk and I do not want to spend hours waiting so How would I disable it,

    what does this mean in "regedit": Autocheck autochk/r\??\c:autocheck autochk* and I want to change it so it can act they way before when I clicked on schedule chkdsk

    When you schedule chkdsk, it will only attempt to scan once upon your next boot/restart. You can skip it when prompted before it begins, and then it won't hassle you again after that (unless something is wrong with your drive/OS).

    Making an edit to the registry is meticulous and unnecessary - unless, again, there is actually wrong that is causing it to start on boot up.
