I need to extract the contents of a .rom file so I can mod the specified .rom graphics file and then recompile so I can then flash the modded bios...
How do I go about doing this?
Thanks

What Machine are you doing this for and what "type " of BIOS AMI, Phoenix?
Hopefully one of the BIOS experts here like JamesD will contribute here also -
It's AMI bios for my ASUS K53SV-XR1. I dumped the contents of my bios file using Phoenix SLIC tool via the dump and out of the 361 files I did a search for the word NVIDIA and found 2 files, one of which gave a typical error on Nibitor however the other file being what I think is in fact the nvidia video bios. I need a .rom file that nibitor will accept without error, you know what I mean.
I used UltraEdit to search all 361 files and got this as a result... I tried opening the file and got a weird error.
A062CF1F-8473-4AA3-8793-600BC4FFE9A8_1_192.ROM is 477KB and I'm guessing it's located inside this file. Can I extract the contents of a .ROM file?
HERE'S THE DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK FROM MY MEDIAFIRE ACCOUNT OF THE K53SVAS.320 FILE
I can .rar my dump for you if you want?Save you some time and effort...
