    ok, so I got the ati hd 6990m but only directx10, how can I get directx 11 and shall it improve my performances?

    I don't know much about it, but I thought the Directx 11 was already installed by default in windows 7, am I wrong?

    Actually, you can use DirectX 11 under Vista as well:
