A----- Video Downloader?First,I never did ask for the thing. It came with tons of other A----- stuff I got when I did download their Photo RAW converter. The other day,I decided to try it(A------ Video Downloader)but it wasn't working.I would get a box asking if I wanted to check for updates and then click O.K....I would click O.K. but nothing would happen. The box would flash and then,I would be stuck with that on my screen with no other way to get rid of it other than to shut down the computer. Now,I want to get rid of it.I use Windows 7.I go to the control panel then click on uninstall programs and then click on A------ and...I always wind-up to a box that tells me:"C:/Program File (x86)/A-----/Video Downloader/VideoDownloader.exe is running.Close the application, the click O.K. to continue".
Well...there's no such application running at the moment and I'm stuck there.
Second,I go to the C:/ drive.Go to the A------ Program.Right click on it.Then I click on "delete".What I get then is:"The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program.Close the folder or file and try again."

Well...there's no file or folder that is open in another program so...to make a short story...how can can I get rid of the A----- Video Downloader from my hard-drive? Thanks!

It's probably a virus, so use an antivirus program. Or you can boot into safe-mode (F8? on startup) and try uninstalling it from there.

Also, if you keep typing like that, people will think you're a spammer.

Thanks! I did manage to get rid of it by being in safe mode.Real wonder how it make a difference and why I couldn't get rid of it without being in safe mode???

In safe mode, only essential programs run, so you're not going to get a "the program is currently running" error.

I would still recommend a thorough virus scan.
