Here is the proper way to do this.
1) Download the New Icons.zip file
Make sure to right-click on the file you just downloaded, go to Properties, then hit Unblock from the bottom right as it may be blocked since it was downloaded from the internet, if you don't do this before you run the file or extract it, then it may not install or work correctly due to insufficient privileges.
To prevent this automatic blocking of files in the future so you don't have to go unblocking every file you download to ensure it runs properly, check the guide in this thread:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/are-you-sure-you-want-to-run-this-file-yes-or-no.825668/
2) Extract the ZIP file
3) Right-click on CustomizerGod.exe and choose Run as administrator
4) Click on "General Icons" from the left pane
5) Replace each icon with the new one, select the icon then press on "Change" button, browse for the new one and save it.
Tip: For easy replacement, you can find the icon number by hovering the mouse pointer over the icon you have selected and it will show the number. Now, browse the new icon that has the same old icon's number and save it.

6) Repeat the process for all the icons you want to change. Some of them will give you an error, just ignore it and move on to the next.
7) Download the Rebuild_Icon_Cache.bat file. Right-click on it, choose Run as administrator then follow the prompts to rebuild your icon cache and reboot when prompted.
After you reboot, you will see the new icons:
