:confused:I bought slightly used Asus N56VJ laptop without the hard drive, I also bought an Seagate 120gb SSD drive, installed it in the laptop, when i try to boot the laptop with win 7 CD it goes to the Bios and asks me to create a path for boot? how do i specify the path where to boot from?
I tried with Win 8pro CD got the same message.
    I disabled Fast boot.

I don't have the option in bios to highlight which drive to boot from like i used to see in old days.

    Expert advice/help is appreciated.

Is it a Win8 laptop? Win8 sticker on the bottom?

If so, you need to disable secure boot and enable CSM module in bios, maybe change UEFI boot to Legacy too.

Yes it is a Win8 Laptop with Win8sticker on the bottom.
I did disable Secure boot and enabled CSM option, once i enable these 2 options it asks me to create a new boot option, name it, and provide boot path.
I don't see any options for legacy boot options in the bios.

CSM = Compatibility Support Module = legacy support (or something like that). Some manufacturers call it differently.
