I bought slightly used Asus N56VJ laptop without the hard drive, I also bought an Seagate 120gb SSD drive, installed it in the laptop, when i try to boot the laptop with win 7 CD it goes to the Bios and asks me to create a path for boot? how do i specify the path where to boot from?
I tried with Win 8pro CD got the same message.
I disabled Fast boot.
I don't have the option in bios to highlight which drive to boot from like i used to see in old days.
Expert advice/help is appreciated.

Is it a Win8 laptop? Win8 sticker on the bottom?
If so, you need to disable secure boot and enable CSM module in bios, maybe change UEFI boot to Legacy too. -
see post 12 here: Clean Windows 7 Install on Asus N56vj-bh71 Laptop hangs - Page 2 and welcome to the forum. If you have any issues one the OS is installed I would suggest posting here ; http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/

I did disable Secure boot and enabled CSM option, once i enable these 2 options it asks me to create a new boot option, name it, and provide boot path.
I don't see any options for legacy boot options in the bios.
I did follow this thread

CSM = Compatibility Support Module = legacy support (or something like that). Some manufacturers call it differently.
